I like the crop you used here better than the original post. The frame is broken up with the subject in the left portion and the horses head leads into the right. Nice(er).
I know I'm a bit late, but I took this on saturday partially with this challenge in mind. What do you think?

Very good Tall Ship and the Golden Gate shot. I like the framing with the ship placed off center.

Even then we're still talking about hundreds of articles. I think it would be faster to design a structure as best we can, implement it, then fix any problems if there are any. That way we might have to edit some articles twice, rather than definitely having to edit all the articles in the beta categories twice.

Apple has a history of that... making their OS'es run faster than the previous one on the same hardware. At least that's what my experience has been with Panther, Tiger and Leopard preview.
Or they make the first releases fast, and then with each minor upgrade slow the system down a tiny bit and then when the next major one comes around everything seems faster the before..
or it might have to do with system caches and other things that are not yet bogged down because of extensive usage..

Just looking at the ''Server Admin' screenshots posted, i noticed that in the list of Services, both AFP and NFS are missing. Is File Sharing managed somewhere else in Lion?

So far the push notifications are working very well. However, the contact syncing actually deleted all of my contacts and replaced them with some contacts from facebook that were NOT even close to being correct. I'm not too happy about this at all. It ended up pushing these changes to my MobileMe cloud so I have basically lost all of my contacts. Way to go facebook!

Doing Lion evaluation and testing I upgraded a Snow Leopard drive (an external clone of a working system drive) to Lion, BUT I GOOFED and somehow upgraded to Lion Server! It attempted to upgrade my server settings, which of course were not present, but did see the existing server and integrated itself into Open Directory it provided.
My conclusion from this mini-disaster is that unlike other OS X server versions, this one will be capable of an upgrade installation. That is great news! I'm still concerned about the apparently missing services, but I think we all need to wait for Snow Leopard Server BETAs instead of just relying on this Developer Preview. At that time I'll also be trying an upgrade of Snow Leopard Server cloned on an external drives.
(FWIW, I don't intend on running any of these Lion pre-releases on any internal drive because I don't have a system that I can risk.)

Who the hell wants this? This space is already filled.
Port Audition to the Mac already - I've been using it for years, and its literally one of two things i cant stick on my MacBook. (Editing in Parallels is foul, and Boot Camp is a waste of space on a 120 gig hard drive for a few applications.)

Coming from Office 2007 on my Windows 7 desktop, I can say that Office 2011 for Mac is amazing. That said, during my transition period, I absolutely needed a spreadsheet application to edit an Excel file for work. Unfortunately, I wasted $20 in the Mac App Store on Numbers, a program I used for a total of about 30 minutes before deciding that Office 2011 was for me.

Hello all,
It's been a while. Life has been quite busy here for me. A few weeks ago everything started falling back in to place again.
After a few weeks of doing absolutely nothing but trying to decide (summer break @ edu job) i pointed the gun towards the church tower (it's a dutch saying : The bullet is through the church - decision has been made).
Today i started my first day of school. Finally doing something I really like :). And after some tryouts with jobs i could do while studying i landed on a sweet spot at a retail shop (guess what i'm selling :D;)).
Anyhow, school really will take up most of my time, so i will have to choose between a masters degree or a cool widget.
I could stop reading MR... :rolleyes:

If you, or anybody you know would like to continue or redesign a folding widget, feel free to contact me. It's a great way of getting started with webdesign and javascript. I mentioned the possibility of making a Konfabulator version of the widget to EOC, they seemed to like it and, just maybe, if you play your cards right, there could be something in it for you.
I'm throwing in the towel but am more than happy to donate all my work and conversations with EOC to somebody who is really interested in making this a very cool widget.

Here in South Korea, all the RFID equipped phones are so useful.
I use it as a metropass, credit card, debit card AND i can ride taxi's with them and pay with it, too.
Heck, I don't even have to carry my bank card because most of the bank machines are RFID equipped too.
I am using iPhone 3GS here, but I miss my old phone that could do all that.
And if iPhone can do that, it'd be great for all the east asian countries that have RFID stuff in their everyday life; like Japan, Hong Kong/China and such.
