My spouse currently is in H4. Is it possible to get his F1 visa stamped (with i-20 and other documents) within US? for example, in local USCIS offices.?

Also, does getting COS (h4 to f1) approved means, we can exit and enter US without stamping in INDIA?

Hey people , i need help. as EB-3 is current , my spouse who is on H4 ,applied for change of status(H-4 to F-1) ,so can i file her papers along wth mine in I-485 or not? change of status is in process.

If you can then retract her COS application and include her in 485. But I am not sure how you would go about donig that. Check with attorney.

I'm interested in purchasing a better Nikon Zoom lens for my D70s. I have the 18-70 DX lens (which is great), but I also have the basic 55-200mm zoom (which I am not happy with). I've been searching online for a 70-300 Nikon lens & I can't figure out which one to get. There's the 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED AF Zoom-Nikkor & the 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Zoom-Nikkor. Which is the better model, the D series or the G series? I'd like to get the new 70-300 VR, but my pocket can't handle that right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to be contrarian, I think the recent H1-B and L-1 fee increase is an opportunity. Instead of playing a victim of legislative abuse, we should come out batting with an offense. We should get businesses to lobby for us. We should get congress people educated about the unfairness. We should not say the fee is wrong, because these are after all elected officials and they will not jeopardize their election prospects by going against this measure. So we should say ok take this fee but then provide us with administrative fixes that we want.

The H1B/L1 fees is designed to hit the body shopping business model. It is nothing but a
legal/labor cost arbitrage that most indian IT service shops follow.

The fees is not the last but the beginning and more will be piled on as they will come back again in a year or so to fund more "secure the mexican border" initiatives. It is a beast that can never be satisfied. The American It companies are not impacted by the 50% rules and they care less about it. So it the resistance effort will be very minimal...like it happened this time.

Suppose I am employed in H-1b with employer �X� for position �A�. Employer �X� filed my Labor Certification and I-140 for a future position �B� and got both approved. Position �A� and position �B� have at least 50% different job duties.

I file my I-485 and it is pending for more than 180 days. I get a better offer from employer �Y�. Now, I want to transfer my H1-B to employer �Y� using AC21 portability rule. My job description with employer �Y� should be similar to position �A� or position �B�?

I recently applied for a PAN Card. Got a DD through my parents in India and sent the form. Today they sent a mail with following --

1) We are yet to receive payment for application.- Kindly e-mail Cheque /DD no. and date on which amount has been debited from your account


2) Photograph provided is not proper for scanning.

Have any one faced similar problem ? A valid DD was included and they say they did not receive the payment ?? Also, the photo was of right size and clear enough so I am not sure what else to do.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
